It looks like Michael Keaton may be going from Superhero to Supervillain, as the former Batman is in talks to play the main bad guy in Sony’s planned standalone Spider-man movie, which has just been announced as being called Spider-man: Homecoming.
Variety first reported on Keaton’s possible involvement. However, there’s no word on who he will be playing, saying that information is being kept secret.
Tom Holland is set to play Peter Parker/Spider-man, with his take on the character being introduced in the imminent Captain America: Civil War. Marisa Tomei is also onboard as Aunt May, with Zendaya signed up for a mystery role. Jon Watts is directing the film from a script by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.
It’ll be in cinemas July 2017.
