For a year and a half Nicholas Hoult has been attached to the war drama Sand Castle, but it’s only now that he’s getting some co-stars, with fellow Brits Henry Cavill and Luke Evans joining him.
Based on a true story, the film chronicles the story of Chris Roessners two years and more than 200 missions as a machine gunner in Iraqs Sunni Triangle. The story centres on Matt Ocre (Hoult) and the leader of his platoon, Sergeant Baker (Evans), as they attempt to protect Baqubah, a dangerous farming village.
Cavill meanwhile will be a special forces captain who is running the whole thing.
Fernando Coimbra, who has helmed several episodes of Netflixs Narcos, is set to direct the movie, which will start shooting next month.
