Antoine de Saint-Exupérys 1943 novella The Little Prince has fast become a childrens classic – indeed it is absolutely revered in France, with its author considered a true hero both for his writing and his aviation exploits.
Now a trailer for the upcoming animated version of The Little Prince has arrived, which is keen to show it’s not straying too far from the original.
Here’s the synopsis: ‘Rediscover one of the most beloved stories of all time. From Mark Osborne, Academy Award® nominated director of Kung Fu Panda, comes the first-ever animated feature film adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupérys iconic masterpiece, The Little Prince. At the heart of it all is The Little Girl (Mackenzie Foy), whos being prepared by her mother (Rachel McAdams) for the very grown-up world in which they live only to be interrupted by her eccentric, kind-hearted neighbor, The Aviator (Jeff Bridges).

The movie will debut at Cannes.
