Over the next few weeks we should be seeing the first shoots of hype for some of what Hollywood is hoping will be the big films of 2015. We already know that a Jurassic World trailer arrived on Friday, while as Star Wars Episode VII will debut the same day in select cinemas.
However one film that might need a bit more of a push than most – simply because it’s not a sequel or spin-off -is Pan, director Joe Wrights Peter Pan origin story.
When Hugh Jackman was spotted with a shaved head earlier this year, many assumed that was because his Blackbeard (it’s an origin so Hook isn’t the big baddie in this one) would be bald. However as these first pics, which arrive via EW, show it’s because he’s got a bit of a weird wig.
The images also show young Levi Miller as Peter, who is kidnapped by Blackbeards pirates and taken off to Neverland. Hook will appear in the film, but he just a member of the crew and befriend Pan, although presumably by the end of the movie we’ll see exactly how they became mortal enemies.
The film’s out July 2015.
