Aaron Sorkin has certainly had success working from books by Michael Lewis, as he contributed to the screenplay for the great Moneyball. Now Sorkin is doing it again, as he has signed up to script and film based on Lewis’ new book, Flash Boys, according to Variety.
Sony Pictures picked up the rights to the non-fiction book in April, which follows a group of stock brokers who discover that their high-frequency trading could be used to rig the stock market. The group included former Goldman Sachs programmer Sergey Aleynikov and Brad Katsuyama, the founder of Investor’s Exchange (IEX).
Lewis certainly has a knack for finding real-life stories that Hollywood like, because as well as Moneyball and, he also wrote The Blind Side.
