A few years ago Johnny Knoxville seemed to be in everything. He’s a bit more discerning nowadays though, with Deadline reporting he’s set to star in the Universal Pictures comedy Sick Day.
Knoxville will play one of three friends who have an tradition of calling in sick one day every year. They use it to take the opportunity to fulfill their wildest fantasies, hopefully without getting caught.
It’s being described as being in the vein of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Jordan Cahan (My Best Friend’s Girl) is rewriting the original script by Jeremy Garelick. It’s not known when the film will shoot.
