After Thor: The Dark World grossed $632 million around the world, it’s little surprise that Marvel has decided it’s worth giving the hero another solo outing. So shortly after it was revealed Joe & Anthony Russo have been hired for a third Captain America movie, it’s been revealed that Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost will write the script for Thor 2.
Kyle was one of the producers on Thor and Thor: The Dark World, while Yost worked on the script for Thor: The Dark World.
Due to his extensive deal, Chris Hemsworth is set to returns as Thor, although no plot details have been revealed at this time.
Marvel head Kevin Feige had this to say about Craid Kyle moving from producer on several of their projects to writer, “I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years. His creative instincts have helped shape Thor and Thor: The Dark World) at every level of the filmmaking process. The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor’s adventure.”
Of course, before Thor 3, the hero will return in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
