Nowadays women have the right to vote (I hope that doesn’t come as news to you), but it wasn’t always that way, and a film is in the works to take a look at the women who fought to make it happen. Carey Mulligan is already attached to star, and now Variety reports that she’s been joined by Helena Bonham-Carter.
The film, ‘revolves around the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement: women who were forced underground in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an increasingly brutal State.’ Unfortunately there’s now specific plot details or info on who exactly the actresses will play.
The movie should shoot sometime next year.
