Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenberg are on a collision course, as they have both signed up to star in James Ponsoldt’s upcoming true story adaptation The End of the Tour, according to TheWrap. They should certainly make an interesting if a little geeky pairing.
The film is based on David Lipsky’s verbosely titled, Although Of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself: A Road Trip with David Foster Wallace. It tells the story of a five-day road trip that took place at the tail end of novelist David Foster Wallace’s Infinite Jest tour. The author committed suicide on September 12, 2008, however many consider Infinity Jest to be one of the best books of the last 50 year.
Jason Segel will portray the late Wallace with Jesse Eisenberg taking on the role of the Rolling Stone reporter David Lipsky. James Ponsoldt is directing from a script by Donald Margulies. Filming should begin early next year.
