Last week, director Bryan Singer revealed to a world via a Tweet that X-Men: Apocalypse is in the works and coming Summer 2016. However there wasn’t a huge amount more information, and we didn’t know if Singer was directing or just producing.
Now Vulture has apparently confirmed that Singer will indeed be at the helm of the upcoming mutant adventure. It’s also believed that the movie will focus primarily on the X-Men: First Class characters, led by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender as Professor X and Magneto.
A separate report also suggests that while in the comics, Apocalypse is suggested to be connected to aliens (in some incarnations at least), in the movie he will be earthly. X-Men: Apocalypse comes to theaters May 27th, 2016. The film is directed by Bryan Singer.
