It’s been suggest Tom Cruise is keen to get Mission: Impossible 5 out as soon as possible, with some suggestions we might even get it before the end of 2014. However Paramount Pictures has now announced we’ll be making a little longer, as they’ve dated it for December 25th, 2015, according to TheWrap.
At the moment the only other movie set for that date is Warner Bros.’ Live by Night, Ben Affleck’s adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s novel. However, it’s still going to have a battle for action fans, as it’s coming just a week after the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII. Warcraft and Kung Fu Panda 3 will also be out not long before it as well.
Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, which earned more than $700 million worldwide after it opened just a few days before Christmas in 2011. Tom Cruise is producing and returning as IMF agent Ethan Hunt. Christopher McQuarrie (Jack Reacher) is directing from a script by Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3).
