A new film version of Thomas Hardy’s classic Far From The Madding Crowd has recently been shooting, and now the first images have arrived, showing off Carey Mulligan, Matthias Schoenarts and Tom Sturridge.
David Nicholls wrote the screenplay which is about headstrong farmers daughter Bathsheba Everdene (Carey Mulligan), and her tumultuous love life, who must choose between three very different suitors, which involves a shepherd (Matthias Schoenarts) she initially dismisses, a dashing but duplicitous soldier (Tom Sturridge), and a farm owner.
Thomas Vinterberg directs, with the movie expected in cinemas next year.
