Following the $1 billion success of Skyfall, it’s little surprise that Eon Productions wanted Sam Mendes to come back and direct the 24th Bond movie. Now, after extended negotiations, Mendes has signed on the bottom line to helm the film.
It’s also been confirmed that Daniel Craig will once again return as the legendary British secret agent, working from a screenplay written by John Logan. They’ve set a UK release date of October 23rd, 2015, while it’ll come to the US on November 6th, 2015.
Mendes commented, “I am very pleased that by giving me the time I need to honour all my theatre commitments, the producers have made it possible for me to direct Bond 24. I very much look forward to taking up the reins again, and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time.”
Of course, at the moment there’s no title for the movie or plot details.
