Benicio Del Toro is turning infamous drug lord for Paradise Lost, playing the notorious Pablo Escobar. Now the first image of him in the movie has arrived, via Pathe International.
The official synopsis says, ‘Young surfer Nick (Josh Hutcherson) thinks all his dreams have come true when he goes to visit his brother in Columbia. Against an idyllic backdrop of blue lagoons and white beaches he falls madly in love with a beautiful Colombian girl called Maria. It all seems perfect until he meets her uncle, one Pablo Escobar.;
The film is based on a true story and as you might expect, thing soon get very dangerous.
Italian actor Andrea Di Stefano (Life of Pi) wrote the screenplay and makes his directorial debut with the movie. It should be in cinemas next year.
