Vince Vaughn’s passion project The Internship may have disappointed on its US opening, but the actor is pushing ahead, signing up to star in Life Term, based on A.J. Lieberman’s graphic novel, according to The Wrap.
It will follow ‘Nick Barrow, who specializes in planning heists and tricks before selling them off to the highest bidder. When one of his heists goes bad, everyone involved wants him dead, from mob bosses to contract killers and corrupt cops’.
What The Wrap doesn’t mention is that the hook in the graphic novel is that Barrow takes out a life insurance policy, so he can leave money for his daughter if he does die, but it won’t pay out for 21 days, meaning he has to stay alive at least that long.
The movie will reteam Vaughn with Couples Retreat director Peter Billingsley. An early 2014 shoot is tentatively planned.
