Josh Duhamel’s star has certainly been on the rise in the last few years, but no it looks like he wants to prove his acting credentials by going indie with Strings. Variety reports that he’s signed up to star in String, joining the previously cast Lucas Till and Maria Bello.
Daniel Duran is set to direct the film, which is about ‘a talented DJ, played by Till, who succumbs to the pressures of the industry and sets out to find himself on a trip to his fathers house in North Dakota. Along the way, he meets a girl who has an instant impact on his life’. Duhamel is set to play an army veteran and counsellor who treats Tills character.
Oscar Torres wrote the script and will also produce. Shooting is already underway.
