Brit actor James D’Arcy’s Stateside exposure has certainly been helped in the last few months by Cloud Atlas, and Hitchcock. It’s helped him score a role in a slightly more mainstream project, Let’s Be Cops, according to Variety.
The movie is about two best friends – Damon Wayans Jr. and Jake Johnson – who are looking for a little more out of life. They impersonate cops for kicks, but when they unknowingly mess with a real mobster, the game gets real.
D’Arcy will play the bad guy that Johnson and Wayans’ characters cross. Vampire Diaries’ star Nina Dobrev has also recently signed up to play Johnson’s love interest.
There’s no news on when the film might shoot.
