Matthew Vaughn may have stepped out of the director’s chair of X-Men: Days Of Future Past, but he’s sticking with Fox’s Marvel superhero movies by signing up to produce the planned reboot of Fantastic Four, which Josh Trank is due to direct.
Mark Millar, who’s overseeing all of Fox’s Marvel-based movies, tweeted the news, saying “Just off the phone with Fox and some excellent news – Matthew Vaughn is producing Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot!”
The film is a fairly long way from the screen though, with Fox not planning to get it into cinemas until spring 2015. They do have big plans though, with Millar saying a couple of months ago that the project will reinvent the superhero genre, with an approach we have never seen before – although he didn’t say quite what that meant.
