Now that House is over, Hugh Laurie has a bit more time on his hands, and he may fill it by turning villain for Disney’s Tomorrowland, according to THR. The film already has George Clooney attached to play the hero, with Brad Bird directing.
Unfortunately, details about the movie are still being kept incredibly secret, so there no news on exactly who Laurie would play. The movie is said to be in the same vein as Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which followed a man searching for extra-terrestrials on Earth. However, whether that means this also has an alien bent isn’t clear.
As the film was previously known as 1952, it’s presumed it will be set in that year, which has led some to link the movie to a series of UFO sightings in Washington, leading some to think the president was meeting representatives from another planet.
It isn’t known when the movie might shoot.
