Those who’ve swooned over the handsome Dan Stevens in Downton Abbey will be sad to hear he’s leaving the show, but it won’t be the last they see of him, as he’s currently shooting the Julian Assange drama The Fifth Estate (alongside Benedict Cumberbatch), and now Variety reports that he’s signed on for A Walk Among The Tombstone.
Stevens will star alongside Liam Neeson in the movie, who’ll play an ex-New York cop hired to find a drug dealer’s kidnapped wife. Inevitably he discovers the story goes a lot deeper that he initially thought. This isn’t the first time the bad guys have kidnapped somebody, but all their previous victims have ended up dead.
Unfortunately there’s no news at the moment on who Stevens will play, and whether he might be dropping the clean cut image so he can get involved in drugs. Scott Frank is set to direct and write the screenplay, based on Lawrence Block’s novel.
