Pixar used to be resistant to making sequels, but now it’s got Monsters University coming this year, and Finding Nemo 2 pencilled in for 2016. Last June director Andrew Stanton signed on to return to the helm, while in November Ellen Degeneres was approached about voicing Dory once more.
Now Deadline reports that Albert Brooks is close to a deal to voice fretful father Marlin once more. It isn’t known if Alexander Gould will be back as Nemo – although if he does, it’ll mean Nemo is all grown up in this adventure, as Gould is now 18.
Victoria Strouse (Little Fockers) is on screenplay duties, although there’s been no info released on the exact plot. Although presumably Nemo will be somewhere where he needs to be found.
