Even before the last season of Entourage had finished in 2011, there was talk of a movie version of the series, but many thought that this was wishful thinking on the actors and producers part. However now it seems it’s happening, as Deadline reports Warner Bros. has given the green light to a feature film adaptation.
Series creator Doug Ellin will direct the film, with deals currently being made to bring back the original cast. which included Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven.
The series followed the acting career of Vincent Chase, a young up-and-coming movie star, and his childhood friends from Queens, New York City, as they navigate the unfamiliar terrain of Los Angeles, California. The film will to pick up six months after the end of the show, where Jeremy Piven’s Ari Gold took a job with a major studio.
It’s not known yet when we might get to see the movie.
