Most film finalise their cast before they shoot, but due to the green screen nature of the Sin City films – where actors don’t even need to be in the same room at the same time to shoot a scene together – Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller seem to be going for an approach which is to see who’s free and then add cast members when they’re needed.
So despite it having already been shooting for quite a while, The Playlist has revealed Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, and Jeremy Piven have joined the ever-growing cast of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. However, no details have been released regarding their characters.
This follow-up to Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s Sin City features returning cast members as well as a number of new actors, some taking on previously established roles. Mickey Rourke (Marv), Jessica Alba (Nancy), Rosario Dawson (Gail), and Jaime King (Wendy) are reprising their original roles. Jamie Chung is replacing Devon Aoki as Miho, Dennis Haysbert takes over for the deceased Michael Clarke Duncan as Manute, and Josh Brolin steps in for Clive Owen as Dwight.
The film will hit cinemas this autumn.
