Yesterday it was revealed the Christopher Nolan’s next project is likely to be Interstellar, based on a script by his brother, Jonathan. Now a few more details have emerged, although as this is a Nolan movie, don’t expect full disclosure.
In a report about some of the biggest directors in Hollywood, Deadline talks about the fact that back in 2006 this was a Steven Spielberg project, but now that Nolan is taking over, things are changing slightly. The site says, ‘Chris Nolan is writing a script that merges an original idea of his with the script that Jonah wrote. It will retain the title Interstellar, and the ambition for the project is a film that will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding.’
Unfortunately there’s no news on what the new ideas are but as we reporting yesterday, the original script was spawned from the ideas of theoretical physicist, gravitational physicist and astrophysicist Kip Thorne, with the story involving time travel, alternate dimensions and travelling through wormholes.
