A few months ago it was revealed that Gregg Araki (Mysterious Skin, The Doom Generation) was busy putting together a new movie, White Bird, with Shailene Woodley, Eva Green and Shiloh Fernandez set to star. Now it appears the title has changed slightly to White Bird In A Blizzard, with Deadline reporting that Christopher Meloni and Gabourey Sidibe have been added to the cast.
The movie is about a young woman who loses control of her life when her mother disappears. Woodley will be playing the main part, but it’s not clear how the other actors will play into the story.
Meloni has been having some fun since leaving Law & Order: SVU, going vampiric in True Blood as well as joining the cast of superhero movie, Man Of Steel. Now he’s going a little more arty, with Araki’s movie. It’s not clear when White Bird might shoot.
