Many wondered whether James Wan would be a one-hit wonder after creating and directing Saw. However Insidious proved a significant hit and now he’s one of the most in demand helmers around. Next up he’s got The Conjuring, which hits cinemas next summer, and now the first images have arrived via EW, which you can see above and below.
The movie is based on the allegedly true story of a Rhode Island family who claimed they, “lived among the dead,” with friendly and evil spirits residing in their farmhouse. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson play paranormal investigators who head off to examine the house in the 1970s, finding more strangeness than they can handle. Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor play the haunted couple.
