In the last few years, Sylvester Stallone has been reminding us he’s an action star, but in the past he’s also been surprisingly good in dramas such as Copland. Now he’s heading back into indie territory for Reach Me, from writer-director John Herzfeld (15 Minutes).
The movie is about a group who connect with a self-help book written by a former football coach. No details have been revealed about Sylvester Stallone’s role, although the actor recently wrapped production after shooting for several days (so it’s probably not the main role). The cast also includes Danny Aiello, Omari Hardwick, Nelly, and producer Rebecca Chaney.
The project serves as a reunion for Sylvester Stallone and filmmaker John Herzfeld. Before making his directorial debut with 2 Days In The Valley, John Herzfeld worked as an actor, co-starring in the 1986 action-thriller Cobra with Sylvester Stallone. Herzfeld most recently directed The Death and Life of Bobby Z, starring Paul Walker, Laurence Fishburne, and Olivia Wilde. (Source: Variety)
