After Bridesmaids, the world was Kristen Wiig’s oyster, but rather than making endless sequels to her hit and signing up for every big payday she could find, she’s been very careful about which projects she’s attached herself to. Now she’s decided on a new one, with Variety reporting that she’s signed on for the indie comedy, Skeleton Twins.
She joins Bill Hader and Owen Wilson in the movie, which is about an estranged set of twins. Maggie (Wiig) and Milo (Hader) went their separate ways years ago, but when they coincidentally cheat death on the same day, the shock makes them reunite and figure out how their lives went wrong. Maggie starts to re-examine her marriage to “nature frat boy” Lance (Wilson), while the gay Milo goes to visit old flame Rich, an ex-teacher with a past he’d rather keep quiet. The begin to realise the the only way to fix their lives may lie in fixing their relationship with each other.
Hader and Wiig of course worked together for several year on Saturday Night Live, and have also appeared together in the likes of Adventureland and Paul.
