Earlier this year, Clark Baker got much praise for his sci-fi short Vessel, so much so that Paramount has now put in motion plans for a feature-length version, according to Variety. Stephen Susco (The Possession) will write the screenplay, with Clark Barker set to make his feature directorial debut witht he film.
The film is about a group of airplane passengers who must fight for their lives when a deadly, supernatural force is discovered on board. The Kickstarter funded short employed a blend of practical creature effects with CGI. Vessel has been compared to such thrillers as Alien, The Thing, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Clark Baker is primarily known as a TV producer, working on comedy shows such as Funny or Die Presents and The Eric Andre Show. It isn’t known when the movie might shoot.
