The first pic has been released from The Way Way Back which sees Steve Carell and Sam Rockwell looking like they’re not exactly great friends. The image was released via the New York Times, who also have an interesting article about the making of the movie.
The film is from writer/directors Jim Rash (best known as Dean Pelton in Community) and Nat Faxon, who won an Oscar earlier this year for writing the script for The Descendants. The coming of age flick follows a teenager trying to deal with a dysfunctional mother (Toni Collette) and her boorish boyfriend (Steve Carell). He finds a summer job at a local water park and strikes up an unlikely friendship with its manager, played by Sam Rockwell. Amanda Peet, Maya Rudolph, Allison Janney, and Rob Corddry also star. No UK release date is currently set.
