Winona Ryder has joined Jason Statham and James Franco in the cast of Homefront for director Gary Fleder, who will be working from a script by none other that Sylvester Stallone (it isn’t known if he’ll be starring in the film himself), according to THR.
The movie is about an ex-DEA agent (Statham), who moves to a small town in search of some peace. His quiet life doesn’t last for long, after he clashes with a nefarious meth dealer named Gator (James Franco). Winona Ryder will play a former biker who is associated with Gator. Child actor Izabela Vidovic is also on board as the DEA agent’s daughter.
The script is adapted from a novel by Chuck Logan. Shooting is scheduled to begin September 24th in New Orleans.
