Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, directors of Half Nelson and It’s Kind Of A Funny Story, are busy putting together their new movie, the gambling drama Mississippi Grind, and now they’ve got Jake Gyllenhaal to star, according to THR.
The film is about a veteran gambler, who is over his head in debt. He recruits a younger gambling addict (Jake Gyllenhaal) to raise enough money to pay down his money owed. They travel across the American south with a vision to win back the money he lost. The producers are still searching for someone to play the older gambler.
The directing duo will work from a script they wrote. It isn’t clear when Mississippi Grind might shoot.
