Actress Rachel Nichols (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) is one of those actresses that Hollywood keeps trying to break big, but who’s never quite made it. She’s appeared in GI Joe, Star Trek, Conan The Barbarian and had an unsuccessful stint in TV’s Criminal Minds. Now she’s planning to get another movie under her belt, as she has signed on to star in The Ten O’Clock People, adapted from Stephen King’s short story.
Tom Holland (Fright Night, Child’s Play) is adapting the short story and directing, which follows Brandon Pearson (Justin Long), a Boston man who is trying to quit smoking. While he tries to kick the habit, he makes the terrifying discovery that many authority figures are actually monsters, hiding in plain sight (which he can see while in withdrawal). Rachel Nichols will play a woman who can also see these creatures.
It isn’t certain when the movie might shoot. (Source: THR)
