Plans are moving forward for a sequel to Red, with Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich all set to return, and Catherine Zeta Jones and Anthony Hopkins added to the cast. Now Variety reports that Neal McDonagh is in talks to join the movie as well.
It’s not clear who McDonagh will be playing, but this time around the gang of retired agents are looking for a missing weapon of mass destruction. However, before they can find the weapon itself, they must first break the man who created it out of an insane asylum.
Red writers Jon and Erich Hoeber are handling script duties again, with Dean Parisot taking over the director’s chair from Robert Schwentke.
