It took a while for Robert Zemeckis to decide what live-action movie to direct, but once he committed to Flight, things have been coming together fairly quickly. The latest actor to sign up to start in the movie is John Goodman, according to Deadline.
The film is about a commercial airline pilot (Denzel Washington) who rescues his passengers after a near-tragic accident. However, he comes under fire in the investigation that follows, when his history of drug addiction surfaces and a cover up begind to keep this information secret. Goodman will play a friend of the pilot, who tries to help him on the road to recovery. Don Cheadle, Bruce Greenwood, and Brian Geraghty will also star.
While it isn’t known exactly when Flight will start shooting, it’s believed it’ll be in the next few months.
