It’s not often that a director gets his own character poster for a movie, but then Lars Von Trier isn’t your usual director. Half the publicity for Melancholia so far seems to have surrounded whether he is or isn’t Nazi, due to comments at the Cannes Film Festival (from which he’s now banned).
Now Artificial Eye is trying to drag things back to the film itself with these character posters (via Empire), whilst also acknowledging that part of the attraction of a Lars Von Trier movie is the director himself. They’re all pretty stylish, so take a look at them above and below, and click here for the trailer. The movie is due out this Friday.
