Vin Diesel has been busy trying to big up the return of His character Riddick by sharing concept art and the latest development. It’s a bit of an uphill struggle after the last movie flopped, but things seem to be coming together for a lower budget Riddick flick that’s more in the style of PItch Black than The Chronicles Of Riddick.
However it appears at least one other character from the second movie will be making an appearance, as Bloody Disgusting reports that Karl Urban has joined cast of The Chronicles Of Riddick: Last Man Stalking. He’ll reprise his role as Vaako, who was the right hand man of Colm Feore’s Lord Marshall, (although it isn’t known if Colm Feore will be back as well).
Little is known about the story of the new Riddick movie, although it’s likely it’ll shoot in Canada sometime in the next six months.
Now we’ll just have to pray that Judi Dench agrees to reprise her greatest ever role as the elemental Aereon, even if she’s probably at home praying the phone doesn’t ring.
