With Robert Zemeckis finally coming back to the world of live-action filmmaking after a decade in motion-capture, many had hoped he’d pick a project that would take us back to the glory days of Back To The Future and Roger Rabbit for his first film back, but instead we’re getting something a bit darker with the thriller Flight.
Denzel Washington and Kelly Reilly are already attached to the movie, and now Moviehole has learned that Don Cheadle and Bruce Greenwood have come on-board as well. Washington plays a pilot who saves his plane after a malfunction and is labeled a hero – unfortunately, an investigation leads to assumptions that he may have been drunk while steering that plane to safety. That leads to issues over whether to cover things up to protect the alcoholic pilot.
There’s no news on what roles Cheadle and Greewood will play. Hopefully there’ll be more info soon, as Flight is due to start shooting in the next couple of month.
