Scott Glenn may not be at the top of the A-list, but he certainly adds a little bit of class to any movie he appears in, from Urban Cowboy to Sucker Punch. Now he’s got a couple more high profile roles to add to his resume.
Firstly, Variety reports that he has officially signed onto star in Lee Daniels’ follow-up to Precious, The Paperboy. He will portray the local newspaper head W.W. James in the movie, which sees Matthew McConaughey investigating a death row inmate, played by John Cusack.
After that then he will jump directly into the franchise spin-off The Bourne Legacy, reprising his role from The Bourne Ultimatum as Ezra Kramer. While the new Bourn movie is laergely a reboot, with Jeremy Renner taking over as another Treadstone agent who isn’t Jason Bourne, there will be some actors from previous installents, such as Glenn, Joan Allen and Brian Cox.
Both films will shoot later this year.
