For a movie based on a plot-less self-help book, the cast of What to Expect When You’re Expecting is getting surprisingly good. Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick, Chris Rock, Elizabeth Banks, and Chace Crawford have already signed up, and now Glee’s singing teacher, Matthew Morrison, is set to join them.
According to Variety he will play Evan, who is Cameron Diaz’s partner on a celebrity dance show. However when she falls pregnant, it forces them both the reassess their lives and try to work out what really matters – all while in the public spotlight (just be thankful the same thing didn’t happen with Anne Widdecombe and her dance partner on Strictly Come Dancing). As a longtime Broadway verteran, Morrison should certainly have the dance moves, which he only rarely gets to properly show off on Glee.
The movie will follow several couples as they negotiate the highs and lows of impeding parenthood. Kirk Jones is directing with shooting taking place this summer.
