Dark Knight director, Christopher Nolan, currently has a lot of power in Hollywood. If he lends his name to something it almost immediately goes from something that might be made, to something that will almost certainly go in front of the cameras. Up until now, he’s not wielded that power much, only producing his own movies.
However earlier this year he agreed to produce the new Superman movie, Man Of Steel, and now Deadline reports that he has has set up an untitled thriller through his Syncopy banner, which will be written and directed by former actor Keith Gordon.
This untitled thriller is based on a novel, but rather oddly no one is saying which novel that may be (Nolan is well known for his secrecy, but not telling people what novel a movie will be based on seem to be going a bit far). All that’s known so far is that it’s a supernatural thriller.
Keith Gordon has an eye for great genre fare, having starred in such classics as Christine and Dressed to Kill. More recently he has become a director, making episodes of TV shows such as The Killing, House, and Dexter, as well as movies such as Waking The Dead and The Singing Detective.
