Cannes may be over for the year, but one of the events primary sponsors, Stella Artois, is still celebrating. They held a worldwide casting call for a male to take on the challenge of starring in a biographical film based on French film producer / director / actor / tennis player / chess master / backgammon champion / waterskiing pioneer and full time bon-vivant, Jacques DAzur the legendary (and fictitious) King of Cannes.
The winner was Gustavo Alvarez from Argentina and you can view the short film which premiered at Cannes last Friday here on this blog: http://kingofcannes.com/. The film also made its UK debut last weekend, and was screened with Stellas partner Film4 during a 12 minute slot that was created especially for the occasion.
To continue celebrating ‘The Death & Life of Jacques DAzur’, Stella have given us some prizes to give away. Weve got three prize packs consisting of two bottles of Stella, a Stella branded chalice (glass) and a favourite DVD of Jacques DAzur. So watch the film below, head over to the KingOfCannes blog and get entering the competition at the bottom of this post!
