Actress Vera Farmiga is fast becoming a true Hollywood star, and she’s adding to that by joining the cast of the Universal Pictures thriller Safe House, alongside Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. She’s not the only one signing up though, as Brendan Gleeson, Sam Shepard, Liam Cunningham, Tim McGraw, and Robert Patrick are also amongst the cast, according to Deadline.
The movie is about a CIA agent (Reynolds) who must guide a dangerous criminal (Washington) to safety after their safe house is attacked. Vera Farmiga will play the CIA handler of Ryan Reynolds’ character who tries to guide them to safety. Unfortunately though, it isn’t known who the other will play play, but with Gleeson and Cunningham it would appear the film’s got something to do with the Irish.
Daniel Espinosa (Snabba Cash) is directing Safe House from a screenplay by David Guggenheim. Production is currently under way in Cape Town, South Africa.
