The cast of Woody Allen’s untitled Rome project is coming together quickly, with Ellen Page and Penélope Cruz locked in for roles in the drama, while Jesse Eisenberg has now been confirmed.
We reported a couple days ago that Alec Baldwi had secured a role in the project, with Eisenberg in talks. Variety reports that his deal has now been finalised, although it still isn’t clear what kind of character he is playing. No character details were given for Ellen Page or Penélope Cruz’s characters either. But then, this is Woody Allen, who’s renowned for not talking much about his plans.
Like Jesse Eisenberg, the Untitled Woody Allen Project will be Ellen Page’s first movie with the legendary filmmaker. Penélope Cruz previously worked with Woody Allen in the 2008 comedy Vicky Cristina Barcelona, for which she won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, while Baldwin starred in Allen’s 1990 movie, Alice.
