Bryan Singer’s Jack the Giant Killer has a king, with Ian McShane boarding the movie, to play King Brahmwell. The movie, scripted by Darren Lemke, centers on the kidnapping of a princess (Eleanor Tomlinson) that threatens the long-standing peace between men and giants. A young farmer (Nicholas Hoult) is then given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giant kingdom to rescue her.
Brahmwell is the father of the abducted princess, and also has to contend with his duplicitous adviser (Stanley Tucci), who may know more about what’s going than he’s saying. Nor is he keen the potential union between his daughter and a farmer boy.
Ewan McGregor, Bill Nighy and John Kassir have also been cast in the film, which is shooting in the UK soon.
