Disney has released a brand new, rather cool poster for Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger tides, with Jack Sparrow looking upwards and seeming far more romantic and epic than the rather shambling, but very fun, figure we’re used to from the films. However it’s a pretty good poster and the one I’d expect to see a hell of a lot more in the coming months in cinema foyer and on bus shelters.
It’s a good accompaniment to the all guns blazing banner image we got the other day, which was more what we’d expect from Cap’n Jack.
Here’s the film’s official synopsis: Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Rob Marshall, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides captures the fun, adventure and humor that ignited the hit franchisethis time in Disney Digital 3D. Johnny Depp returns to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in an action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise. When Jack crosses paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), hes not sure if its loveor if shes a ruthless con artist whos using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Annes Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesnt know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.
Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides hits cinemas May 20th.
