Some new posters have arrived online, including the first one for the Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel starring Bad Teacher, as well as a couple of character based ones for X-Men: First Class, so take a look below to see them.
It’s an okay poster but a little generic, and to be honest, it wouldn’t have been a bad idea to get Jason Segel and Justin Timberlake on there, as they’re probably a bigger draw than Cameron Diaz nowadays. In the film, which is out this summer, Diaz plays a foul-mouthed, gold-digging seventh-grade teacher, who after getting dumped, sets her sights on the the school’s model teacher (Justin Timberlake), who’s the heir to a watch fortune. This puts her into conflict with his girlfriend, played by Lucy Punch. Segel’s in there as a nice guy sports teacher, and presumably the person Diaz’s character eventually realises is the real man of her dream. Click here for the red band trailer.
Oh dear, and things started out so well with a couple of great character posters last. Now we get these, which look like the offerings of a first year design student who had a brief but no ideas. Cheesy and badly executed, they take the concept of showing that the film will look at the origins of the men who we know from the other X-Men movies, and make it seem really trashy. Oh well.
Here’s the film’s official synopsis: ‘X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.’
The film, starring James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, hits cinemas May 30th.
