It’s been rumoured for a while, but it’s now been confirmed that with Midnight In Paris in the can, Woody Allen’s next movie is taking him to Rome. After giving up on America due to the difficulty finding funding, Woody’s been doing a bit of a European tour, which has taken in the likes of France, England and Spain, so Italy seems like a sensible next stop.
As always with Allen, at this stage there’s no news on the plot or a title. However THR reports him as saying, I love these sophisticated cities and its fantastic to have the possibility to work there. Each time it is for me like a declaration of love for certain places. I try to project my feelings for places that are important to me onto the big screen.
However first up is for him is the Rachel McAdams, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Marion Cotillard starring Midnight In Paris, which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May as the opening film.
