While Dreamworks Animation spent a lot of time marketing last year’s Shrek 4 as the final movie in the film series, there was no way they were going to let that franchise cash cow die, and so they’ve been busy working on the spin-off, Puss In Boots, which pushes the Antonio Banderas voiced feline to the fore, with Selma Hayek joining him as love interest Kitty. Now the first poster and teaser trailer for the film have arrived.
Puss In Boots tells the tale of Puss’s (Antonio Banderas) early adventures as he teams with mastermind Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis) and the street-savvy Kitty (Salma Hayek) to steal the famed Goose that lays the Golden Eggs. And if Puss In Boots is a box office success, don’t be shocked if Donkey or even the Gingerbread Man getsd their own movie, as Dreamworks won’t want to let go of Shrek if it doesn’t have to.
