Director Zack Snyder is apparently interested in having Kevin Costner join his upcoming reboot of the iconic DC Comics superhero Superman. If he hoing the project, he will be starring opposite Henry Cavill, who was confirmed as Clark Kent earlier this year.
While the initial Deadline report that announced the interest in Costner had no specifics on which character he is being eyed to portray, Latino Review spoke to someone whose ‘well placed sources’ say Kevin is up for the role of Jonathan ‘Pa’ Kent, the earthly father of of Clark. As yet this hasn’t been officially confirmed, although it’s certainly make sense, and it doesn’t even look like Costner is in negotiations yet, just that Snyder would like him to be, so don’t assume this mean he’ll play the role.
Superman is scheduled to being shooting later this year, which means we’ll start hearing various different actors confirmed for this superhero adventure in the very near future. The film is due to hit cinemas December 2012.
